Canine Reflexology

Reflexology is the practice of applying pressure to the foot and hand - or all four feet in Canine reflexology. Specific thumb, finger and hand techniques are used without oil, cream or lotion.


Like iridodiagnosis sees areas of the eyes with direct connections to specific organs, reflexology uses specific spots on the feet to correspond to specific organs with the left feet representing the left half of the body and right feet representing the right side.

Using this touch healing technique relaxes the body. It also:

  • reduces stress
  • reduces pain
  • improves blood flow
  • reduces aggression

and can help with many conditions such as:

  • injuries
  • muscle soreness
  • stress-related conditions
  • constipation
  • Digestive disorders
  • Arthritis
  • Hormonal imbalances
I've also seen where some canine practitioners include these finger and thumb techniques on dogs ears.
