Canine Symptoms
Do you treat canine symptoms like your own? Do you think you cure pain, fever and the cause of inflammation with aspirin or cortisone? What are you thinking? At some point we must set aside the aspirin, Tylenol and ibuprofen commercials and look at the body, whether it's canine or human, for the miraculous thing it truly is. The America I know and live in is full of folks who go to work, come home and switch on the television, or boob-tube as I call it. Consciously or unconsciously soaking up commercials about every 12 minutes. Advertisers are damn good at their jobs. We suck up, soak up their messages like an intravenous feeding. At the slightest hint of discomfort, we run for the aspirin (my era), Tylenol, Motrin or Advil. Whoa we think we fixed that problem. Thank goodness the drug companies are constantly coming up with newer and better ways to fix us! And thank goodness, they can fix canine symptoms too!

Like I said, I grew up in the aspirin era and here's a case in point. I was married to a man for 18 years who popped a couple Excedrin aspirin every time he felt the slightest discomfort. Ye-haw. After 10+ years of drinking coffee all day, he decided it wasn't good for his health. He switched to herbal tea. Sounds good right? The problem was that his body gave him headaches while it was trying to detox from caffeine. Know how he fixed it? By taking more aspirin! Two extra strength Excedrin several times a day. I suggested he read the label on the bottle because caffeine was one of the ingredients. He pooh-poohed me and ten years later when he had cancer surgery, the doctor told him to stop taking aspirin. He didn't. Several years after that, he fell and broke his leg. The doctors told him he MUST stop taking aspirin because his blood was dangerously thin. ______________________
