Pretty DogsIn this section, Pretty Dogs, we share our individual ideas of what a good looking handsome dog is.Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I can see a dog I think is absolutely beautiful because they have perfect characteristics and conformation for a breed I think is really handsome. I tend to to feel this way about large and extra large breeds. When they are calm with good energy I think they are truly regal.I was for a long time, only a big dog lover. Then it happened. I became friends with a woman who owned a Yorkshire Terrier. Long before I met this little Yorkie, she had been found hungry and dirty wandering the streets. My friend Karen was a big dog lover too and planned to foster this tiny dog until she could find it a home. But plans changed, and once I got to know Opie, I understood why. Opie wasn't regal and I couldn't give her a bear hug like I could my own dogs, but she was cute! Sweet, loving, and very intelligent, she opened my eyes to the little dog, and I loved her very much. I think the bottom line here is that when you love a dog, they are BEAUTIFUL!
