Raw Dog Food Note
Raw dog food can be a very wise choice. Even if you never feed your dog raw, you can stand behind those brave enough to make the transition. This reminds me of the hippies back in the 60’s. We owe them a lot. Had they not pioneered getting back to nature, we would not have the selection of whole grain foods, organic foods and organic fruits and vegetables we have now.
These nutritious foods are not only higher in vitamin content, they are missing toxic pesticides. In the past we had to go to a health food store to get Kashi cereal for example, but now they even carry it in Walmart, and it cost half the price it once did because of volume sales. I believe there will be a similar change for our dogs. There are already many companies across the country and around the world, chopping, grinding and freezing good quality natural raw food for proper dog nutrition. The only problem is not everyone can afford it – just like the old days of organic foods. So instead of snubbing your nose at those who feed raw food, applaud them. After all, they are pioneering the path to better, healthier dog foods for all future dogs. If you take some time to research it, you'll find dogs fed the right blend of raw (meaning meat, organs and bones), you'll find they are healthier, spend less time at the vet's office and live longer. And I almost forgot! They don't need their teeth cleaned. Now if you could just get on the bandwagon and join us, the prices will go down!
