How to Boost Immune System
With Canine Supplements

Wondering how to boost immune system of your dog? Natural immune system boosters can be confusing but I decided the best way to supplement is human grade products and I'll tell you why. Quality and strength.

My grand dog Sofie the spokesdog for canine supplements

After years of searching for a company with excellent products with consistent and reliable quality I finally found it a few years ago and out of 600 products these are my best pick.

Any one of the following will boost dogs immune system, but the combination of the three will work synergistically.

And know what I like best? I can share these supplements with my dogs. I know what's in them, the company's reputation and it's history so they get my vote for all my family's needs.

Trust me, I used to buy different products for each of us and if I took the dog's by accident I always wondered if I should spit it out. That reminded me I had trust issues.

Okay, let's start with....

I love probiotics. They taste great (if you open the capsule) and have cured just about every stomach ache I've ever had.

And we all know one of the side effects of antibiotics is killing all the intestinal flora (you know, that good bacteria) along with the bad right?

Ah, but did you know without them, digestion is incomplete? Yuck.

Simply put, if your dog’s intestinal tract is working properly, it will absorb more nutrients from the food AND ingested supplements. Good dog probiotics will have the beneficial micro organisms and something to promote the growth of those organisms.

Here's what is always in my fridge and what the dog begs for if she sees me take out the bottle:

Probiotic Eleven®(90 caps) - Eleven strains of good  bacteria. Lulu and I take 1 or 2 on an empty stomach. (She's 75 pounds).

  • Helps relieve occasional gastrointestinal distress
  • Populates the gut with beneficial microflora.
  • Supports digestion.
  • Aids in the elimination of toxins.
  • Improves immune system functions.
  • Regulates intestinal functions.

If you prefer a probiotic for little ones (kids and pups):

Second, there is Colostrum (90 caps)
This is really getting back to beginning basics isn't it? The first nutritional food for all nursing mammals and how to boost immune system function.

This just makes sense.  One capsule per 25 lbs of body weight. So a 75 lb Lab would take 3 capsules a day. (Keep in the fridge)

  • Accelerates healing.
  • Balances blood sugar.
  • Reduces insulin needs.
  • Increases the metabolism of fat.
  • Regenerates and accelerates the normal growth of aged or injured muscle, bone, cartilage, skin collagen and nervous tissues.
  • Regulates neurotransmitters, providing alertness and better concentration.

And third, we have the dog immune system builder

Trigger Immune®, Chinese (100 caps)

This formula is designed to strengthen a weakened energy constitution. This is a combination of 18 herbs designed to support natural immunity as in Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Why would I recommend three products instead of one? The immune system has several parts and the combination does far more than just one of them.

While I'm thinking about it I want to say something else about canine supplements. Just as with human supplements, there is a point where more is not better.

I try to keep it at three. Occasionally I will use or suggest four but that is only if I know they will work together. Sometimes I have people who contact me who have their dogs on so many supplements already I think they are doing more harm than good.

That said, this is why I am available to answer questions and help guide you to help your dog be the best he can be. While I choose my combinations carefully, if your dog has any health problems it may work best for him if you contact me and together we work out what will help him feel better, regain or maximize health and how to boost immune system at the same time.

I also chose these products because they will not overstimulate a dogs immune system. Instead they will slowly work to build, build, build naturally. After all, becoming unhealthy doesn't happen overnight so expecting renewed dog health overnight just doesn't make sense. If you try and push any body too fast your dog can actually get sick.
